I converted two old telephone handsets into lo-fi dynamic microphones. By connecting the ear side speaker of the handset to an output jack, one can create a simple dynamic microphone that has a muffled quality, much like a telephone call. It can also be used to mic instruments and amplifiers to get an overdriven, mid-focused sound. I also added a volume potentiometer and a cutoff switch for greater functionality.
